Acceptance of terms

These Terms & Conditions apply to the Cognitive Node website (cnode.in) and to all classes provided by Cognitive Node ("we", "us", "our"). By booking a class or using our website, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

Our services

Cognitive Node provides live, one-on-one online classes for school students from UKG to Class 12, and for college students and adults in selected programs such as Spoken English and Vocabulary Enrichment. Classes come with learning plans, practice material and progress updates, and are conducted over a video platform that we share with you before the first class.

Who can book

Classes for students under 18 must be booked by a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for the accuracy of the details shared with us, for supervising the student's use of the internet during classes, and for all fees payable.

Adult learners (18 and over) may book classes for themselves and are responsible for their own details and fees.

Fees and payments

Fees are confirmed in writing after the free demo class and depend on the student's class, subject and schedule. Prices shown on our website are indicative only.

Fees for a single class are payable before the class. Fees for monthly plans are payable in advance at the start of each billing month, through the payment methods we share with you.

Fees are non-refundable

All fees paid to Cognitive Node are non-refundable, including fees for classes that are not attended or plans that are paused or stopped part-way through a month. If you are unhappy with how classes are going, please tell us and we will adjust the pace, approach or schedule until it works for your child.

Rescheduling and missed classes

We understand that plans change. Our rescheduling policy is:

• If you tell us at least 12 hours before a class, we will reschedule it to another available slot in the same billing month at no extra cost.
• Classes missed without at least 12 hours' notice are treated as taken and are not rescheduled or refunded.
• If a teacher has to cancel or miss a class, we will always offer a replacement class at a time that suits you.
• Unused classes do not carry over to the next billing month, unless we have agreed otherwise in writing.

Pausing or stopping a plan

You can pause or stop a monthly plan before the next billing month begins by letting us know by WhatsApp or email. Fees already paid for the current month are not refunded.

Conduct during classes

To keep classes safe and useful, students and families agree not to:

• Record, share or publish classes or class material without our written permission
• Share class links or login details with anyone else
• Use abusive, harmful or inappropriate language or content
• Disrupt classes or misuse the video platform

Our content

Worksheets, notes, lesson plans, videos and other material we provide belong to Cognitive Node or our content partners. They are for the enrolled student's personal learning only and may not be copied, sold or shared.

Learning outcomes

We work hard to help every child make progress, but results depend on many things, including practice between classes. We do not guarantee specific marks, ranks, Olympiad results or admissions.

Suspension of services

We may suspend or end classes if these terms are seriously or repeatedly broken, or if fees remain unpaid. We will let you know before we do so, wherever reasonably possible.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Before going to court, we ask that you contact us so we can try to resolve any concern directly. Any dispute that cannot be resolved this way will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in India.
