Who we are

This policy explains how Cognitive Node ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses and protects personal data when you use our website (cnode.in) or our classes. We process personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

What we collect

• Parent, guardian or adult learner details: name, email address, phone or WhatsApp number and country
• Student details: first name, class, subjects and the learning information you choose to share
• Class records: attendance, progress notes and work shared during classes
• Website data: basic, anonymous usage data if analytics are enabled

How we use it

• To reply to enquiries and arrange the free demo class, including by phone, WhatsApp or email
• To plan, teach and schedule classes, and to share progress updates
• To manage fees and payments
• To send learning tips and updates, only if you have subscribed. You can unsubscribe at any time

Children's data

Most of our students are children, so for anyone under 18 we collect data only with the consent of a parent or guardian, use it only to teach and support them, and never use it for tracking, targeted advertising or profiling.

Sharing your data

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us run our classes and website, such as website hosting, email, messaging, video-class and payment providers, and only as far as they need it to provide their service, or when the law requires us to.

Some of these providers may store or process data on servers outside India. When they do, we use providers that protect data to a standard consistent with Indian law.

How long we keep it

We keep personal data for as long as your child is learning with us and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal and accounting requirements. After that we delete it or make it anonymous.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or erase your or your child's personal data, withdraw consent, or nominate someone to exercise these rights on your behalf. Write to us at cnodelearning@gmail.com or on WhatsApp at +91 94072 03077 and we will respond within 30 days.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data. No online service is completely secure, so please let us know straight away if you believe your information has been misused.

Cookies

Our website uses only the cookies and browser storage it needs to work, such as remembering whether you see prices in India or international rates. If analytics are enabled, they are used only to understand how the website is used, in aggregate.

Questions and complaints

If you have a question or concern about how we handle personal data, write to us at cnodelearning@gmail.com with the subject "Privacy". We will acknowledge your message within 72 hours and aim to resolve it within 30 days. If your concern is not resolved, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version, with its date, will always be on this page.
